ASTMF2413 is one of the reference documents of the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the reference standard of the US Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), which covers the minimum requirements for the protective performance of work shoes and is suitable for many different work environments.
ASTMF2413-17 has divided SD grades into three levels: 10/35/100, ASTMF2413-18 has a major change on this basis: work shoes and puncture-resistant pads not only require third-party laboratory test reports, but also A Declaration of Conformity (COC) issued by a third-party laboratory is required.
ASTMF2413-18 mentions that work shoes and puncture-resistant pads need a test report and a statement of conformity (COC) from a third-party laboratory.
First, the test report
The test report should include but not limited to the following information:
1. The name, contact information and authorized signature of the third-party laboratory
2. Detailed description of work shoes or anti-puncture pads
3. Identification of work shoes or puncture-resistant pads (such as product series, model number, SKU, etc.), size, men's or women's shoes
Second, the Declaration of Conformity (COC)
The Declaration of Conformity (COC) shall include but not limited to the following information:
1. The name, contact information and authorized signature of the third-party laboratory
2. The name of the company applying for the declaration of conformity
3. Identification of work shoes or puncture-resistant pads (such as product series, model number, SKU, etc.), size, men's or women's shoes
4. Effective date of the declaration of conformity
5. The test report number on which the declaration of conformity is based
6. After declaring that the product is tested according to the test method corresponding to
ASTMF2412, the results meet the test requirements of ASTMF2413-18.
